授業の目的、または到達目標 To understand women’s rights and how women won their rights with courage and perseverance.
　Can describe the history of world gender discrimination.
Can explain the process of gender equality achieved by activists.
Can apply the understanding of gender issues to the present situation of the world.
授業の概要 This course examines the achievement and impact of women’s rights by activists. Students will understand how those rights affect the present-day situation for women. Students will also consider what they can do to contribute to the improvement of women’s rights.

成績評価方法・基準 Class Work 40%: Discussion, in-class participation, homework presentation.
Reports 30%: Two reports, 15% each. These papers must include the references used for research.
Oral Presentation 30%: Present the script with referenes before the oral presentation.
Feedback: Comments and corrections for each work will be given by the instructor either orally or in written form.
