A 5-page research paper with a References page is necessary for a passing grade. The research paper is completed in three stages: the Outline and References with about five sources to be cited (due in class on the 6th week, November 10th), the first draft (11th week, December 15th), and the final draft (14th week, January 19th). If the final draft is not finished by the last class, submit it to the college office. There is a late penalty of minus 10% until the first day of semester exams. Papers turned in after the first day of semester exams through the final day of make-up exams are to be penalized 20%. If a paper is not turned in by the end of the make-up exam period, the student cannot pass the course.
