授業の目的、または到達目標 Through the reading of literature aimed at children, students in this course will consider issues in psychology, including those related to inner strength and resilience, with the goal of understanding how to apply this knowledge to their personal lives.
Learning Goals:
*can analyze works of children's literature
*can describe culture and life as it appears to children and writers of children's books
*can understand the ways this literature helps children address issues in their lives
*can use this knowledge to explore inner strength
授業の概要 This course will focus on analysis of popular and timeless books classified as "children's literature" with the goal of considering how these texts assist children in gaining perspective, increasing empathy, and drawing upon their inner strengths.
