授業の目的、または到達目標 The course aims to explore the relationships between language and culture from various perspectives and understand its critical implications for the classroom and for the global community.
Learning goals:
can understand the relationships between language and culture
can understand language and culture in educational contexts
can research in depth some of the important issues on language and culture in education
授業の概要 This course will explore the relationships between language and culture and examine how they relate to some of the essential issues of education. Students will read topics of language and culture for teachers and discuss what implications language and culture pose for the classroom and for the global community. Based on readings and discussions, students will select a topic for in-depth research.

準備学習 Students are required to weekly read 10-15 pages on the selected topic. They are also expected to work on group research presentation, summary of research presentation and references(two pages) and two response and reflection papers (4 pages and more) on
