・ increase listening skills for academic purposes.
・ talk about issues in English.
・ learn skills for listening to English.

・better understand the formal or academic English that they hear
・better understand key grammatical and functional patterns in listening
・better understand the structure of presentations

教科書 Baker, L., & Gershon, S. (2012). Skillful 1 Listening and Speaking. Macmillan English.
The listening sections provide regular opportunities for discussion and interaction, with activities to practice global and close listening skills, as well as chances to critically examine the ideas in the text.
成績評価方法・基準 Class work: homework, quizzes, note-taking, etc 60%
Class work includes such activities as:
In-class participation, homework 20%
Quizzes, review activities 20%
Dictations and note-taking 20%
Review quizzes:
4 times a semester (10% each) 40%

Feedback will be given by checking homework and course work in person. Quizzes will have written feedback.
