* articulate the role of digital media in Japanese society
* explain the role of the digital media forms in interpersonal communication
* explain the influence of digital media (both positive and negative)
* conduct research on digital media forms (SNS and internet sites)
授業の概要 To understand the role of digital media in modern society and become critical users and researchers of new media forms for communication. Students will examine current forms of digital media, including social networking services (SNS) and Internet sites, and analyze these forms of communication in order to understand how digital media can be used for both positive social goals and to manipulate public opinion.
