授業の目的、または到達目標 To learn techniques in organizing and presenting ideas and opinions through formal speeches before an audience, understand various aspects of speech delivery, both verbal (voice inflection, clarification of vocabulary, transitions and sequencers) and non verbal (eye contact, gestures, visual aids)

授業の概要 Students will write and deliver at least one speech on a topic of their choice, learn how to do research on speech topics, learn other classmates’ opinions and get comments on their topics and drafts of their speeches in order to widen their scope of knowledge and deepen their thinking. Students will also analyze and evaluate others’ speeches.
