授業の目的、または到達目標 Building on material studies in Phonetics, this class will further develop students’ abilities to express themselves effectively.
授業の概要 Students will review basic fundamentals of phonetics, including rhythm. They will then study, practice and present samples from various TV commercials, news broadcasts, speeches, stories, movies, dramas, and chants. Each student will make two presentations. Emphasis will be placed on correct pronunciation following the phonetic rules studied and appropriate interpretation and/or expressions for the materials.
