授業の目的、または到達目標	Take up the nonprofit/NGO sector as a research subject in graduate school, understand its actual situation and issues, and study perspectives and research methods for analyzing this sector. 大学院における研究対象として非営利・市民社会セクターを取り上げ、実態や課題を理解するとともに、このセクターを分析するための視点や研究方法を学ぶ。
授業の概要	This course will build an overview of the global rise of the nonprofit/NGO sector, making international comparisons based on the latest data, looking at background of its development, scale of activities, areas of activities, organizational structures, revenue structures, etc. Also, it will analyze the situation and background of cooperative work with governments and companies, analyze investment of assets in the nonprofit sector, looking at characteristic contributions and volunteers, their aims and characteristics, changes over time, economic scale, etc. Furthermore, it will provide an overview of public policies for the nonprofit sector, including corporation systems and tax systems. Finally, it will provide an outlook for issues faced by the nonprofit/NGO sector, and future directions.
