授業の目的、または到達目標 To learn the potentials and activities of civil society, including NGO, which plays important roles as an actor to tackle various problems in the international community.
国際的な諸課題に対応するアクターとして市民やNGOは大きな役割と能力を持つ。その活動の実際と成果、問題点などについて知識と思考力を深め、自らも市民としての活動に参画する意欲を培う。
授業の概要 We will analyze the conceptual aspects as well as operational functions regarding civil society, which have been increasingly important resources striving for a better world. Given various types of global issues, this class focuses on the theme of war and peace. For instance, issues such as the international campaign to ban landmines, the concept of human security, NGOs in the fields of peace building, civil movements concerning article 9 of the Constitution, would be suggested. Students will need to make presentations according to their academic interests.
国際的な諸課題は多様であるが、ここではとくに平和と戦争の問題を中心に、市民やNGOという立場からの取り組み、国家に対置する観点の思考などを学ぶ。たとえば対人地雷全面禁止条約の運動や人間の安全保障の考え方、平和構築支援におけるNGOの活動、憲法9 条と市民運動など。
