科目名 Survey Research of Human Rights Issues(人権調査論研究）

授業の目的、または到達目標 「調査」は、人権問題の解決の方法を探るためにも、また、人権政策の立案にも不可欠である。そこで本科目では、社会科学的視座から人権を研究するための量的な調査方法について学ぶ。また、発展途上国において多用される、PRA 等の参加型手法についても学ぶ。
Acquisition of research methodologies is indispensable for finding meaningful solutions to human rights violations as well as for further promotion of human rights policy formulation. The course aims to familiarize students with quantitative methodologies for social scientific research in human rights studies. It further explores the modification of approaches in different settings including participatory rural appraisal methodologies employed in researches in developing countries.
授業の概要 数量調査の理論と方法の批判的検証、発展途上国における農村・コミュニティ調査によって多用されている参加型調査手法
Upon critically reviewing theoretical /practical dimensions of quantitative research,modification of approaches in rural/community settings in developing countries will be introduced and practiced.
