授業の目的、または到達目標 国際的な諸課題に対応するアクターとして市民やNGO は大きな役割と能力を持つ。その活動の実際と成果、問題点などについて知識と思考力を深め、自らも市民としての活動に参画する意欲を培う。
To learn the potential and activities of civil society, including NGO, which plays important roles as an actor to tackle various problems in the international community.
授業の概要 国際的な諸課題は多様であるが、ここではとくに平和と戦争の問題を中心に、市民やNGO という立場からの取り組み、国家に対置する観点の思考などを学ぶ。たとえば対人地雷全面禁止条約の運動や人間の安全保障の考え方、平和構築支援におけるNGO の活動、憲法9 条と市民運動など。
We analyze the conceptual aspects as well as operational functions regarding civil society, which has been increasingly expected as one of major resources striving for a better world.
Given various types of global issues, this class focuses on the theme of war and peace. For instance, issues such as international campaign to ban landmines, concept of human security, NGOs in the fields of peace building, civil movements concerning the article 9 of the Constitution, would be suggested. Students are requested to make presentation according to their academic concerns.
