授業の目的、または到達目標 マイノリティ保護の概念および制度の歴史的発展を振り返り、国際的条約・宣言の関連規定と履行確保措置を学び、マイノリティ集団に対する抑圧と格差の現実状況を概観した上で、社会正義と共生を実現するために必要な方策を考察する。
To learn the historical development of conceptual and institutional framework for
protection of minorities, the provisions of relevant universal and regional instruments and mechanisms, and realities of oppression and disparities, and to contemplate on necessary measures for just and peaceful “co-existence”.
授業の概要 一般的な人権と人民の権利、マイノリティの権利の比較と関係、民族的・言語的・宗教的マイノリティの享有する特別な権利の内容、民族紛争、日本と世界のマイノリティの置かれた状況と問題、マイノリティ女性に対する複合的差別、多文化共生の課題
Comparison of minority and people’s rights with human rights, and their relationships,substantive entitlements of ethnic, linguistic and religious minorities, ethnic conflicts and minority situations in Japan and other parts of the world, intersectional discrimination and challenges to multicultural society.

成績評価方法・基準 40% 平常点（出席、議論への参加）、30% 発表、30% 小論文（3000～4000 字）
30% - Class work (attendance, participation in discussion, ), 30% - Presentation
40% - Essay (A4 size, double space, 10 pages/4000 words)
