授業の目的、または到達目標 To explore methods of teaching English as a Foreign Language
授業の概要 Understanding EFL; putting into practice theory that focuses on improving communicative ability in the L2. The course links theory with practice through hands on activities that include teaching skills in the 4 skill areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking; preparation of lesson plans; understanding class management. The main areas covered in this course include teaching methodology, communication theory, factors influencing foreign language acquisition, schema theory, theories of motivation, and computer and internet use

準備学習 Students should spend approximately 4-5 hours a week outside of class completing the required readings for HW, preparing their review materials for their role as Discussion Leader, reviewing handouts and doing internet research,and working on the final research project and presentation.
