To improve English and Japanese proficiency through various basic training methods used in interpreter training |
| 授業の概要 |
This course is designed for the students who wish to enhance their English as well as Japanese language proficiency via basic techniques used for interpreter training. Students who wish to study interpreting need to have strong language proficiency in both English and Japanese and knowlede of a wide range of topics backed by rich vocabulary. In this course, the students will be engaged in various skill training methods for the purpose of improving language proficiency and increasing knowledge of the world. The training methods to be utilized will include intensive listening via shadowing and dictation, summarization, reproduction, slash reading, quick response exercises, etc. |

The class will meet in an LL room. Each session will contain more of practical training than discussion on principles. |
