準備学習 |
Preparation for class is required. To understand these issues, students will be required to read the assigned units of the text and complete the related content activities. Students should come to class with a basic understanding of the issues to be discussed each week. Each student will be required to give an in-class, small group presentation on a topic from the text or a related issue (topic must be approved by instructor). Quizzes will be based on class lectures and group work. Group project presentations require work outside of class with partners. Some class time will be devoted to the Research Paper, but the research and writing will be completed outside of class.

Class work & quizzes: 40% (quizzes on readings, discussions, presentations)
Group presentation: 20% Required group project (sources must be referenced)
Research Paper: 40% = 5+ pages (outline, introduction, preparation 5%: first draft (& references) 10%; final draft 25%)
