科目名 Public Speaking

授業の目的、または到達目標 Students will learn how to organize and present ideas and opinions in formal public speeches. They will study various aspects of speech delivery, both verbal (voice inflection, clarification of vocabulary, transitions and sequencers) and non-verbal (eye contact, gestures, visual aids).
授業の概要 Students will write and deliver at least one speech on a topic of their choice. They will learn how to do research on speech topics, how to elicit and respond to other classmates' opinions, and how to give and receive constructive feedback on written drafts and speech delivery.
