授業の目的、または到達目標 To understand how culture shapes how people in different countries make decisions and interact.
This course will examine different nations and how their histories, religions and cultures may influence their decisions and interactions. It will also examine key concepts of verbal and nonverbal communication.

授業の概要 After reviewing culture and communication, we will examine different nations and consider how the people make decisions and interact with people from other countries. Drawing on key concepts of verbal and nonverbal communication as well as deep knowledge of the nations, we will closely examine cross-cultural communication in North & South America, Australia & New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

授業の形態 By utilizing course readings, students will actively participate in class discussions on a variety of topics related to culture. Writings, assignments and presentations are some primary examples of expected student work outside of class.
