To study the meaning of culture and cultural values， the issues involved in communication across cultures， and to deepen understanding of one's own cultural values. |
| 授業の概要 |
The subject matter will be covered via readings， lectures， and group discussion. Students grades are determined by a combination of in-class participation， reading homework， a final exam and a short presentation on student’s perspectives and experiences towards cross-cultural communication. |

Each class revolves around discussions of culture and communication based on the reading homework and examples of cross-cultural scenarios. |

| 準備学習 |
Students are expected to be prepared to discuss readings in class. Homework on the readings is due at the beginning of class. Students will give a short presentation on their perspectives of cross-cultural communication at the end of the class. |
