授業の概要 This course overviews current issues and debates of human rights in the world. It discusses issues in class, race, gender, disability and other forms of human differences. It also introduces the international and national framework of human right protection.

授業の形態 We will look at the basis of human rights and the rights recognized in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We will examine how those rights impact the lives of different groups of people. Each section will give students the opportunity to make case studies of their choosing.

準備学習 The reading for each class is expected to take 90-120 minutes. Presentations will generally be done in teams, with each team member spending 120-180 minutes.
