授業の目的、または到達目標 *Identify contemporary issues of peace and conflict.
*Explain the current tendency of conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
*Develop attitudes to resolve conflict and promote peace.
授業の概要 This course overviews current issues and debates of peace and conflict in the world. It discusses issues in class, such as nuclear disarmament, refugees, conflict and peacebuilding. It also introduces the conceptual foundations of peace and conflict studies from historical, cultural and philosophical viewpoints.
