授業の概要 |
Students learn a concept of “conflict transformation”, first by the text written by John Paul Lederach, and then by the TRANSCEND theory of Johan Galtung. Next, by studying the mutually supporting roles of nonviolent intervention and conflict transformation, they are requested to understand the areas of peace building and peace creation. They also study the roles of the arts to encourage their imagination and creativity. By doing so, they pursue ways to create the culture and the structure of peace. We will have many practical exercises in class and learn to use the skills of conflict transformation and nonviolent intervention. Students are expected to achieve a first goal as a “conflict/peace worker”. |
