授業の目的、または到達目標	Students will be able to: ・improve their English listening and discussion skills. ・increase their knowledge of current world affairs. ・increase their English reading abilty through news articles. ・increase their English vocabulary by studying significant English language television news reports.
授業の概要	The course is based on current authentic news reports of approximately two minutes. Worksheets for vocabulary, reading, and discussion help the students understand the current report. Additionally, a website gives guidance for further study.

準備学習	Students are expected to print their materials from the moodle site. They should download each topic sound file on their iPads. They should do the assigned exercises before class.

参考文献	News video broadcasts are used with the perimission of the BBC. Teachers prepare materials (dictation form, listening comprehension questions, readings and reading questions, discussion questions).
成績評価方法・基準	Classwork vocabulary, reading, transcripts, topic quizzes, discussion = 60% End of term Discussion, Evaluation and Quiz = 40% Weekly homework will take between 60 and 120 minutes. The form of feedback will depend on the teacher, but will be given in class and/or online.
