授業の目的、または到達目標 To examine the issues concerning street children in developing countries.

Learning goals:
- can understand the issues of street children.
- can write research paper.
授業の概要 Many children in developing countries today have reached a crisis point. They are living on the margin of survival under unfavorable life circumstances such as natural disasters, wars, exploitation, and poverty. They are often left homeless, and may be forced to deal with drug abuse, prostitutions, violence and crimes. This course discusses the lives of children in developing countries and the conditions that have left children in the street.

成績評価方法・基準 • Class work (quizzes, presentation) 50% • Final presentation 10% • Research paper 40% (outlines 5%, rough draft 10%, final paper 25%) • Late assignment and papers will be penalized.
