科目名 Theory on Development Education(開発教育論）

授業の目的、または到達目標 開発教育の内容（概念、理論、方法等）について、その背景も踏まえながら考察し理解を深めるとともに、具体的な事例の検討と教材の企画を行うことによって、開発教育ファシリテーターに必要とされる知識・技術並びに多様な視点を身につけることを目的とする。
This course aims to acquire knowledge, skills and diverse viewpoints required for Development education facilitators through, (1) examining and promoting a better understanding of the contents (concepts, theories and methodologies) of Development education with reference to its background, and (2) discussing the major issues targeted in Development education and identifying the feasible topics for teaching/ learning materials
授業の概要 開発教育の概念とその展開、アプローチについて、国際社会や開発援助の歴史的背景や動向と関連付けながら概観する。次に、開発教育が対象とする主要な課題に取り組む上で必要な視点や方法について、具体的事例を用いながら議論を行う。最後に、こうした活動を参考に、身の回りで見つけた事象を題材にして開発教育に関する教材の企画案を作成する。
This course will firstly take a bird’s-eye view of the concepts, development of and approaches in Development education, in relation to the historical background of and the trend in the international community and development assistance. Then important viewpoints and methodologies will be examined through a series of actual case discussions regarding major issues in Development education. Utilizing the acquired knowledge and skills in the course participants will be requested to identify the feasible topics from their surroundings and develop the proposals of teaching/ learning materials out of them.

準備学習 事前に配布資料を読んだ上で、与えられている検討課題について考察し、ディスカッション、発表できるよう準備しておく。
Students will be required to read the provided case materials and examine their subsequent questions for preparation of presentations and class discussions.
教科書 なし。適宜講義資料を配布する。
No textbook is required. Some handouts will be provided occasionally in lectures.
参考文献 講義中又は講義資料内にて適宜紹介する。

成績評価方法・基準 レポート（事例教材企画案と採用事例の分析）提出（50%）、平常点（授業中の発表・議論への参加）（50%）
