授業の目的、または到達目標 *Understand theoretical and concrete issues in contemporary multicultural society in relation to globalization.
*Be aware of the current social movement called globalization.
*Analyze and to problematize the various issues in multicultural society.
授業の概要 Students will learn about multicultural society in the context of globalization. The course will first explores the meaning of globalization and various aspects and debates concerning culture, particularly the problems of cultural essentialism which penetrates the debates.
