To explore language and its intersections with culture in modern society and equip students with awareness of the role language plays in social, cultural and political interactions. Students will explore how language and culture are linked and explore language as it relates to issues such as ideology, identity, race, gender, power, and ethnicity. |
授業の概要 |
To understand how culture and language are linked. This course will examine different situations and how culture and language interact. We will use this knowledge as we carry out a variety of projects based on the learning through the readings. |

There will be reading, writing, reflections on readings and presentations. You will need to read for every class and think about the readings. |
