授業の目的、または到達目標 To improve students’ academic writing skills for courses in their specialization areas in the 3rd and 4th years including the graduation project thesis. Additionally, the course will help improve students’ English writing skills.

Learning Goals
Identify the different parts of a research paper
Write citations correctly in a paper
Summarize and create graphs, figures and tables
Write summaries of research and use in a research paper
Write an essay arguing a point including appropriate supporting details
Write clear, easy to understand academic English
Use Criterion to help you evaluate your own writing
授業の概要 This course builds upon writing skills developed in 1st and 2nd year courses. This course particularly aims to improve your skills at analyzing data and writing to support your own arguments. In addition, the process of writing will continue to be emphasized. You will correct your own writing, including organization, details, grammar, structure of overall writing, and style. You will use Criterion to help you correct your writing.
