授業の目的、または到達目標 You will be able to explain and discuss basic constitutional, institutional and functional aspects of key democracies in the world, especially, the USA, the UK, France and Germany as well as those of Japan with historical and contemporary illustrations.
世界の主要な民主主義国、とくにアメリカ、イギリス、フランス、ドイツの憲法的、制度的、そして機能的な側面について説明し、議論できる。日本と比較して説明し、議論できる。そして、歴史的、現代的な実例で、その説明や議論を具体化できる。
授業の概要 Each participant will be asked to choose certain political question which she wants to pursue in this class. She will be asked to study political and historical background of the question, and to find some examples in other countries which may shed light on the question. The teacher will assist her with presentation and discussion skills as well as with essay and dissertation writing.
参加者は、このクラスで追求していきたいと思う政治問題を提示することを求められます。そしてその政治問題の背景や歴史的背景を調べることが求められ、何か他の国の現象で、その問題に光を当てることのできるものを見つけることが求められます。先生は、発表や議論の技術や、小論文や論文の執筆について手伝います。
