授業の概要 This business course is for “proactive” and motivated learners of English who want to continue practicing and developing their communication and discussion skills for international business and survival purposes. 

As students "seek first to understand, then to be understood," the aim is to become more effective and confident communicators by thinking about and discussing business and other related topics in English. Students will practice expressing and supporting their opinions on current issues. They will activate newly acquired business-related vocabulary and phrases, while practicing basic presentation skills, including eye contact, posture and gestures.

授業の形態 A variety of selected current topics will be explored and examined to consider and reflect on the interconnections with the world of business and the enterprise of living. Students will regularly summarize materials such as news articles, present opinions on them and receive comments followed by questions and answers. Audiovisuals such as scenes from movies, documentaries, presentations, business English news programs will be introduced.

成績評価方法・基準 Evaluation will be done by continuous assessment based on assignments, class reports, interviews and presentations. Students should attend regularly, participate actively. They will be encouraged to evaluate themselves throughout the course and at the conclusion of the semester. 

評価方法 ・平常点30% ・出席率30%・試験30%・その他10% (Homework and bonus points)
