授業の目的、または到達目標 To deepen understanding of environmental issues that the world is facing and consider how the problems can be addressed or solved.
Learning Goals

* can evaluate the information about environment from conflicting sources
* can explain the role of governments and civil society (ordinary people) in helping to solve environmental problems
* can understand the connections between local, regional, national, and international environmental issues
授業の概要 This course is designed to raise students' awareness and understanding of a variety of environmental issues that the world is facing. As the problems related to human impact on the environment have become more widely known, various steps have been taken to address this impact. This class will also consider the impact of governmental and company policies on the environment, both locally and globally. Students will also look at what has been done, what is currently being done, and what could be done to help protect the environment.
