To examine human rights issues as related to refugees, international justice, and children along with relevant international organizations. *Learning goals can understand the basic knowledge of human rights can understand how and why human rights are violated can understand what the international organizations are doing to protect them can explore what we can do to protect them |
| 授業の概要 |
This course will explore a variety of human rights issues related to the United Nations and other international organizations. Topics will include refugees and the role of the UNHCR, international justice and the International Criminal Court, children's rights, and women's rights. Obligations of nations toward establishing just human rights policies will be considered. |
