授業の目的、または到達目標 To understand the functions of language and explore the relationship between human language and mind.
Learning Goals:
* can understand the functions of language
* can understand the way of analysis of language
* can understand the evolution of language and speech
授業の概要 This course will examine language and mind, in reviewing the research regarding speech, language, and thought from the perspective of psychology. Also we will explore how language develops, how humans manage to arrange so many words, how they handle language, and what the differences are in communication and brain systems between humans and non-humans (i.e. dolphins, chimpanzees, birds).
