授業の目的、または到達目標 *Identify contemporary issues of human rights.
*Explain the legal framework of human right protection.
*Develop attitudes to protect and promote human rights
授業の概要 This course overviews current issues and debates of human rights in the world. It discusses issues in class, race, gender, disability and other forms of human differences. It also introduces the international and national framework of human right protection.

授業の形態 We will look at the basis of human rights and the rights recognized in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We will examine how those rights impact the lives of different groups of people. Each section will give students the opportunity to make case studies of their choosing.
