授業の目的、または到達目標 To learn about human rights around the world. Focus will be on human rights issues that directly impact women.
Learning goals:
* read basic information about human rights
* understand the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
* search the internet for relevant information
* use appropriate vocabulary for the content
* write an outline of information
* write a short paper on one topic about women and human rights
授業の概要 This course will explore issues in human rights around the world, particularly the human rights of women. Human rights violations and other aspects of human rights will be considered. The course will examine what international and domestic organizations do to support different groups.

準備学習 This course will depend on readings, vocabulary study and the basic work of research: information gathering, outlining, paraphrasing and writing. Students will present the results of their research orally and in writing to other members of the class.
