授業の目的、または到達目標 To improve students’ understanding of current world events and their English listening ability by studying current world events
授業の概要 In this class， students study world news concerning politics， economics， the environment， and other significant events reported on English language television news broadcasts. Students will read English language newspaper articles， watch English language news broadcasts， and discuss world news topics.

準備学習 Students are required to make a transcript of each news report， read a related article about the news report， answer questions about the reading， and prepare for discussion about the news.

参考文献 There is an internet support site for this course which students can use. In addition， it is recommended that students watch， listen to， and read aobut current news in order to facilitate their understanding of the topics which will be studied in class.
成績評価方法・基準 Student grades will be based on the following:
