授業の概要	英語の構造的特徴を中心に学び、コミュニケーションツールとしての英語の背後にどのようなメカニズムが働いているかを考える。

準備学習	指定範囲の予習および練習問題への取り組みを終えて授業に臨むこと。「分からないこと」を「分からないまま」で授業へ来ないように、事前に担当教員へ質問などを行うこと。予習範囲をカバーせずに授業に出席した場合、宿題と参加点のポイントが下がります。クラス内の試験は、持ち込み資料「可」の自由記述形式で行うが、他人の資料を「コピー＆ペースト」したり、出典を明らかにしないで「自分の考え」であるかのように記述する解答は採点の対象としない。
