授業の目的、または到達目標 ・Students will be able to deepen their understanding of English sound system.
・Based on theoretical understanding and basic skills from Phonetics 1 and 2, students will be able to carry out practical oral performances, such as conversation from TV dramas and movies, news broadcasts, speeches, and stories.
・Based on class works and projects in this class, students will be able to express themselves more effectively in English.
授業の概要 Students will review basic fundamentals of phonetics, including rhythm. They will then study, practice and present samples from various TV commercials, news broadcasts, speeches, stories, movies and dramas. Each student will make two presentations ( one group and one individual). Emphasis will be placed on correct pronunciation following the phonetic rules studied and appropriate interpretation and/or expression for the materials.

準備学習 一年次で履修したPhoneticsの基礎理論を土台として、様々な教材を独力で英語音声表現できるようにする。そのためには、Phoneticsの理論を毎回復習、準備してくること。またモデル音声を何度も繰り返し聞き、ドリル練習を続けること。
教科書 一年次に使用した「Sounds Make Perfect」、および授業中に配布されるWorksheet
成績評価方法・基準 平常点（授業の取り組み10%、提出物10%、クイズほか20%）40％　　
Core Project　（リハーサル10%、 発表10%、提出物5%、Self-Evaluation 5%)30％　
Individual Project （リハーサル10%、発表10%、提出物5%、Self-Evaluation 5%)30％
