To be able to prepare a semester-long course outline and assessment plan and a complete unit with assessment activities. |
授業の概要 |
The purpose of this course is to teach students to research and develop the objectives, content, implementation and evaluation of a language teaching curriculum/syllabus. The course focuses on articulating one's teaching beliefs, analyzing learner needs, setting learning objectives, outlining material to be developed (and developing one unit) and creating an assessment plan to examine teaching effectiveness (along with assessment activities). |
授業の形態 |
The basic structure of the course is that students will read about the Unit's topic before participating in large group and small group work in class. Students are expected to complete all work in a timely way and to provide feedback on how effective the course is for them and their learning. |
