授業の目的、または到達目標 Course objectives are that students:
can better understand international news reports;
can improve English listening comprehension;
can increase vocabulary related to news reports;
can express opinions and discuss about news topics; and
can find additional information about news topics.
授業の概要 The course is based on authentic news stories of approximately two minutes. Worksheets help the students understand the current event.
授業の形態 Students watch two minutes of a current event. They are provided with exercises for vocabulary, listening comprehension, transcription, and reading. Students are expected to discuss the issues raised by the current event.

準備学習 Students are expected to print their materials from the moodle site. They should download each topic sound file on their iPads. They should do the assigned exercises before class.
