授業の目的、または到達目標 To critically study six major social issues (world population trends, poverty, hunger, health and well-being, education and gender equality) which impact a significant proportion of the world population.
Learning goals:
*Can understand the background details of the issue
*Can gain in-depth knowledge through related case-studies
*Can demonstrate effective note-taking skills for review and consolidation purposes
*Can identify key points of the issue through readings, audio-visual/media reports, shared learning sessions and write Reflection and Response papers
*Can conduct research, do a presentation and write a related summary
授業の概要 Reading articles, watching audio-visual/media reports, note-taking, participating in shared leaning, writing Reflection and Response papers, conducting research, making a presentation and writing a related summary.
