To critically study six major social issues (poverty, hunger, health and well-being, education, gender equality and wealth inequality) which impact a significant proportion of the world population. Learning goals: *Can understand the background details of the issue *Can gain in-depth knowledge through related case-studies *Can demonstrate effective note-taking skills for review and consolidation purposes *Can identify key points of the issue through readings, audio-visual/media reports and write Reflection and Response papers *Can conduct research, do a presentation and write a related summary |
