授業の目的、または到達目標 Students can:
- speak appropriately in a variety of situations with little or no preparation.
- understand and use appropriate body language conventions in English native speaker interactions
- write and act out a short skit together
- express emotion appropriate to the situation
- use language appropriate to the occasion in a number of everyday service situations
- write or use and act out a longer performance which develops a situation.
授業の概要 To create an understanding of effective English performance and delivery through the study of interpretation, impromptu speaking, and acting. Students will learn to interpret roles, define story and script, develop plot, use emotion in their delivery, convey intention through body language and words, and use authentic language in real situations. Students will put together the components of a short production for the culmination of the course.

準備学習 Students should review each lesson thoroughly; practice the language and techniques they learn; come to class prepared to express themselves in English and memorize necessary language, for example parts in skits or longer plays.
教科書 Students are required to download the materials for this class onto their iPads. The teacher may also post necessary materials on Moodle and / or hand them out in class. Students will also use their iPads to take sound recordings and / or videos of their, and other students' performance. Studnts must be sure to keep their iPad charged at all times!
成績評価方法・基準 Class work = 70%
Required papers = 30%
