Students will use various reading, speaking and listening skills to gather information on a number of global Issues. They will discuss, and present the information they find out in a variety of formal and informal ways. |
| 授業の概要 |
Students can read texts with appropriate strategies and comprehension. Students can read widely from extensive reading. Students can use reading texts to gather information to prepare to discuss, and make both individual and group oral presentations on a specified number of global issues. Students can use oral English skills in both formal and informal contexts. |
| 授業の形態 |
The course will be team taught (Students will meet with each teacher (J & E) once a week; All skills will be covered in both teacher’s classes with the Japanese teacher taking the lead on reading and the non-Japanese teacher taking the lead on discussion) Introduction of topics (J&E) Content-based reading (J (with E)) Discussion about what they read (E (with J)) Discussion & speaking practices (E&J) Project based presentations/task based learning (EJ) (Each teacher will assign projects in his or her own class) |
