授業の目的、または到達目標 To increase their ability to listen to oral texts about various global issues, to discuss global issues with each other, and to improve note-taking ability while listening to lectures.
* Learning Goals:
- can discuss a variety of global issues
- can read or listen, and respond to brief texts orally and in writing.
- can give and understand oral reports and presentations.
- can improve intensive and extensive listening skills.
授業の概要 Topics include a variety of important global issues, such as activism, poverty, environmental problems, cross-cultural communication, and others. Students read, discuss, listen, write brief texts, use the internet, and do brief in-class oral reports and presentations for each topic. Websites and a listening CD associated with the textbook will be used in class and for homework.
