授業の目的、または到達目標 To understand more about social problems with specific reference to the British education system.
授業の概要 The current British government says that its policy is Education, education, education! It has done more to reform and improve the educational system of Britain than any other government this century. Taking this educational reform as its background, this course will examine important current social issues connected with education in the United Kingdom. Students will read about and discuss the social issues objectively. The course will deal mainly with primary and secondary level education.

準備学習 Reading, writing and preparation assignments. Research on the Internet. At least 2 hours of homework per week. Probably more time will be needed sometimes.
教科書 There is no class text. I have prepared materials and will provide them.
